There were some glitches such as the number of people attending was limited as this was a trial version and there were some audio problems but all that is fixable. From what we I could tell it looks like a very fun and promising endeavor. I encourage all the sisters to try to attend the next one and to use your webcam if you have one. I also used a headphone set (that you can get at Walmart or Target) so I was able to talk to the other sisters and because the headphone silences the computer, my SA (who was home at the time) can’t hear the conversation. I can’t tell you how nice it was to see faces and hear voices of the other sisters on the site. Putting names and faces together and just having general conversation. I felt so good after the meeting; I was smiling the rest of the evening. i truly felt like I had just talked to some best friends. I haven’t felt that good in a very long time. Thank you, JoAnn, for making this a possibility and I look forward to the next one.

Can’t wait. I do have a webcam, but will have to pick up a headset for speaking. That would be great to with the kids in the house, that way than cannot hear what is being said, as i know some of it will not be appropriate for the little ones or even teenagers. I was one of the ones who tried, and could not get on. I am glad it went great!!!I was on for a few min. and dropped off. It was great while it lasted. I think I saw Jo Ann and Cindy. I am so excited to do it again! b. trayed
So glad it went well! I tried to sign in a little after 7 but it was full. I had 4 people in the kitchen so it would have been tough to stay on anyway. I like the headphone idea! Looking forward to the next one! Way to go JoAnn!
So glad to hear how well it went. I wasn’t home, so I wasn’t even able to try. hadj608: “my” computer is in the kitchen, so I can relate! Looks like I’ll have to go invest in some headphones! (…and figure out how to use my daughter’s webcam!) 🙂
Well, I must say that the first meeting was interesting. Lot’s of glitches that need to be fixed, but hey, I’m just going to lay it out there warts and all.
While I am busy working on fixing things–and rewiring and reconfiguring my theater room (yes, i am THE jack of all trades in my house) I have provided a link for you to watch the meeting exactly as it happened.
The beginning is a few of us just chit chatting in our ‘meeting room’ and then the meeting starts–with a few glitches, and then we all stay around and talk and try to work on the audio issues. Feel free to fast forward at any time as it is quite boring in places.
Keep an eye on the chat box that is in the meeting room as people without web cams or audio were conversing or asking questions there.
Anyway, here it is. Add your comments here as I will do too.

I bowed out after about an hour. My SA PREDATOR dropped by, and certainly didn’t want him watching!!!I am so sorry I missed it!! 🙁 I will definitely try to make the next one! My son has webcam so I should be good to go! What a great idea! Can’t wait to see everyone!
I watched the recorded meeting today, and listened to the whole thing while getting some things done in the kitchen. It was wonderful—it can only get better!!! I actually got chills seeing faces that go with the names. Can’t wait to run out and buy a headset. I think we are going to learn so much, and I think SOS is going to grow and really get the message out there about what partners go through. Thank you, JoAnn!
