ParticipantWe have another new Sister to welcome. Her name is Pat and here is what she said about why she joined:
I have been married to a sex addict for 26 years. He/we have been thru several therapeutic interventions but the behavior has continued. I am giving up hope that this is a controllable behavior and I am at the point of ending our marriage.
Please give Pat a warm welcome and let her know that she is not alone in this journey.
Welcome Pat, if there is anything that I can do for you please don’t hesitate to ask.
Hugs and light to you,
JoAnn

ParticipantHello and welcome Pat! I’m so happy you found us. I’m new here also and I have found many wonderful, strong women here. It’s a great source of strength and wisdom. Know that you are not alone in your journey.

ParticipantWelcome Pat… This is a really great group of women, all in the same boat, but at different stages and also different situations, but a commonality in that our lives have been severely impacted by our partner’s sexual addiction
Its a long learning curve. And while recovery is not impossible, its also not common. Even WHEN a man desperately WANTS to recover, it is next to impossible, as the patterns, images, beliefs– what have you, are hardwired so firmly in his brain and to reverse all that, is the problem— among many, many others.
A very high proportion of us have been in marriages/relationships that span decades and given our husbands all of the support and help that we could.
But to make a fire, you need a match and something to ignite it.
Hugs,
Lexie

MemberHello Pat,
Glad to have you on board. This is a safe wonderful place to share, get support, have questions answered, cry, give support, laugh, and love each other like sisters. You will feel right at home here because we’re all here for the same lousy reason. Look forward to hearing from you.CB

ParticipantHi Pat,
You have the patience of Job. I am so sorry for all your losses, but am glad you are considering moving on to rebuild the life you deserve. It was noble of you to continue to hang on for so long, but enough is enough.
We are here to encourage you and support whatever you feel is best for YOU PAT!
What are your hobbies?
Do you have children?
Do you have support from family, friends, co-workers or the church?
Much love, B. Trayed

ParticipantHi Pat
Welcome to our group. Hope you find as much inspiration and support as I have since I joined. I ‘survived’ 12 years with my SA husband and that felt like a lifetime, so I can well understand how after 26 you are more than ready to move on with your life.
Hopefully see some posts from you soon

MemberHi Pat,
Welcome to the Sisterhood. You have found the right place, with lots of support, information and love. I was so alone before I found this site. I don’t know what I would do without it, or without these wonderful ladies.
Sending you hugs,
