    Tapestry

    My life, a tapestry
    woven tight
    woven small
    sometimes not woven
    much at all

    The seams are shreds
    the fabrics loose
    It’s even faded
    without much use

    Do I want it
    yes I do
    it represents a life
    once new

    Even though
    it may not last
    I’ll keep it with me
    til the day I pass.

(Liza, here is my birthday poem you requested. Thank you.)

NAP, the concept of a tapestry really resonates because there is such intricate weaving going on during this most difficult journey and most of us are too close to it to see the beauty that will result if we take a breath and stand back and consider the bigger picture. If it didn’t kill us, it likely made us grow and enhanced the unique woman within each of us.
