Am I the only person having trouble with getting randomly tossed off? I keep writing these long posts, and by the time I hit the button, I find I’m no longer logged on. I NEVER LOG OFF!

    march,

I have not had that particular problem, although most of the time when I write a post it do it in a word file and then copy and paste it into the box. This way I can go back to a post/s that triggered me to respond.

Maybe this will help the problem.

That just happened to me right now. Just as I was finishing I hit the shift key/punctuation and poof!

after I type a post I highlight the whole thing and hit control c (copy) and then hit post. That way if it disappears I can redo and hit control v (paste). This has saved me many times. BUT you have to remember to replace the copy with something else so your kids don’t accidentally see it!!

Getting kicked off is usually a problem with your internet provider. If your connection drops for even a second it will log you off. Sorry–there is nothing I can do to fix that.

And I always write my posts in Word or Notepad first, then I can make any editing changes, then I just copy and put my cursor in my reply box and paste (ctrl V is paste).

Another way you might lose a new topic is if you do not choose a group from the drop down menu at the bottom of your topic box. This only applies of you start a new topic in the forum. If you go directly to groups and choose your group, then write your new topic you do not have to choose as you are already in the group.

    Hope this helps. ~ JoAnn
