Yesterday I had plans to go to a local craft show with a friend at 2 pm. She called and cancelled at 1:30 because she had fallen and injured her knee. I wasn’t going to go but then decided to go by myself. I love craft shows around Chritmas and especially love seeing the things people actually make. Im so happy I went because I met so many creative talented people. I bought a few items for my daughters for Chritmas. Then I went to Barnes and Noble and spent 2 hrs there just looking around, while hearing the holiday music. I really like non fiction stories about someones life experience. Last year it was The Glass Castle ( which I loved ). I looked and and looked an found a book I had to buy. It’s called The eighty Dollar Champion. From the back cover, it’s a story of a man who notices a horse in a truck on it’s way to slaughter. The horse looks at the man and the man (who knew horses) said there was a real spark in his eyes he couldn’t believe. The horse was abused, thin but his eyes told another story. He bought the horse for $80. I can’t wait to read it. On my way out of the bookstore they had a table with a middle aged woman and two teenage girls with green shirts on. They asked if they could wrap my presents for a donation for their cause. I told them I didn’t have a present but I would like to donate to them. I asked what they were raising money for? They said they were an equestrian team. I said oh, you ride cows. They laughed and I gave them all the $1 bills I had. 8. It was a good day. Life is everywhere….

Nap – have your read “Half Broke Horses”? It’s the prequel to Glass Castle, although written afterwards. It’s about her grandmother and what a kick-ass pioneer/renissance woman she ways. Very easy read and very inspirational. I love sharing books so if you PM me your address, I’d be happy to mail it to you.

Thank you for your kind offer. I have read her second book too and found it very inspirational. I love her writing style I hope she writes a third book soon.
