I’m near Raleigh, trying to see if there was someone close to connect with. Yeah, I am very familiar about how far Charlotte is, that’s where my SAH’s girlfriend lives. He’d go on “work trips” twice a week to see her. 🙁
Ok, I propose a once a month meeting of Carolina Girls! Centralized, or we can float around to each person’s locale. We have Charlotte, Winston Salem, Raleigh, and Charleston so far.

Love it. We can have flathead shovel contests and drink like there’s no tomorrow. Bev is only 5 hours away…
Someone plot where we can all meet up that’s central to all of us. Maybe Asheville? I’ve heard it lovely….never been and dying to go.

I am about an hour from the triangle. My son is in Chapel Hill in medical school and I can be to his apt. in an hour. I am around if that helps you any.

Ashville, always wanted to visit there and much fun to meet everyone.Ashville is lovely – kind of artsy fartsy in a good way. Prettier in the spring, summer and fall though.
SL, I had to cut back on the cigars, they were turnin’ my teeth yeller. Trish, I’ve heard it’s really artsy, I’d love that.

I checked out Asheville on the map – it’s in between all of us….including Bev and maybe SL’s old holler. No more than 3.5 hours for any of us.
I’ve heard it’s a great place. It doesn’t have the healing ocean, but sometimes the mountains can be good, too. Plus, I’ve heard they have yoga retreats 😉

OK so when – Winter getaway or Spring? I will happily look into places to go to. Anyone interested could private message me what weekends work for them and we could get this party started. It could give me something to focus on besides my separation which is destroying me – in an effort not to destroy me (see, I’m losing my mind).
DeeDee, I am still very close though if you need to meet. My calendar is pretty empty so say when and where and I will be there.
