My flakiness has resulted in a good thing. My daughter brought an unexpected crowd home Wednesday after school, and they just hung out, til dinner time. I had not shopped in days, so I ordered delivery pizzas for them, but I forgot to order drinks. Nothing but water and 1/2 quart of milk at the house. I made iced tea, which I normally drink unsweetened but that is NOT the way people drink it around here. AND… I didn’t have sugar (been avoiding that for health reasons); or ice ( Old fridge, ice maker leaks, one of those things that lives WAY down on the to do list).

Damn. But, while checking out my empty ice cube trays, I saw I had two Lindy’s Lemon Italian Ices in the freezer. SO… I made the tea super strong, and dumped the ices in there and stirred them up til the tea was chilled. Ta Dah!!

    Whew.

Now I’m hooked, best lemon sweet tea ever.

These lovely posts give me such hope! I have a big smile on my face (of course, I’m now thinking of vodka …). It really is the little things in life, isn’t it? I will think happy thoughts whenever I make iced tea this summer.

Lemonade/Iced Tea is called an “Arnold Palmer”, why not call our Lemonade/Iced Tea/Vodka a “JoAnn Russell”??? 🙂

I have been drinking “Arnold Palmer’s” all my life, before the name stuck. LOL

I love the JoAnn idea, but it’s got to be lemon ice, not lemonade, for the chill factor and to avoid watering it down too much. JoAnn’s drink should NOT be wimpy and watery.
