ParticipantIf you could have anything at all in this entire world, with no restrictions, no limits, no morality, no judgment…just the very best of everything that you could ever imagine. Every fantasy that you could ever dream of…what would your world be?
What would you desire to accomplish?
What do you want to ‘leave behind’?
Where would you live?
Would you be alone or with someone?
If you were with someone, what would they be like?
What would you be doing every day?
How would you feel?
Musings from JoAnn

ParticipantI would be living in a cool flat near a university where my son could take math and science classes and then come home to do the rest of his school work. We would be able to travel regularly and I would have enough money to be a safety net for my daughter and bring her home or go see her regularly.
I would never have therapy again (nor would either of my kids).
That’s what I would like right now.

MemberI would have a base in Sydney but be a citizen of the world. I would have a lovely male companion but if he wasn’t with me I would still be happy and strong. He would be kind, understanding, intelligent, funny and honest. He would enjoy travelling with me.
When I wasn’t travelling I would be making art, attending art classes and getting my head around trying to get support for the partners of SA’s in Sydney.
I would leave all my fears and sadness behind. I would leave behind my self loathing.
I would buy my children a house.April 19, 2013 at 12:08 am #87464lisak

ParticipantI would have a three hat restaurant attached to an organic farm right near the ocean in Tasmania. My son would be the chef, and his beautiful family would live with me on the farm (in a separate building, of course). My other two daughters would visit regularly and I would travel to see them. Then maybe I would open a second restaurant in Seattle. I would spend tons of time at the beach, create new recipes using any ingredients I want, and have a personal trainer who would help me get stronger and healthier every day. A partner? I don’t know. Maybe I would be the one to play the field a little

ParticipantI’d own two beautiful homes on the water. One up north with my family and one down south with the palm trees, Both with lots of windows, high ceilings and open space and elegant furnishings, art and gardens.
Every morning I would open my eyes and be excited to start the day. I wouldn’t have any thoughts of pain or sorrow. I would publish a family cookbook full of heirloom recipes and family photos to pass down to my kids and grands. I would learn to paint. I’d go to junk markets and repurpose old treasures and have long lunches with old and new girlfriends. My grandchildren would come to play a lot. My girls and I would shop. Once a year, my kids would take me out for dinner alone, no spouses, no kids…my family.
Picking fresh fruits and vegetables from my garden, I’d prepare simple healthy food and dine out for the gooey dinners.
Oooh, there would be a man in my life. He would be secure in his sexuality, handsome and handy with a hammer and a spatula. He’d love to protect and provide for me and to let me baby and dote on him. We would play scrabble and drink wine. We would talk about world events and share our hopes and fears. We would hold one another in high esteem and play together. We would travel and have interests together and alone. He would be aware of his thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how they affect those arnd him. He would forgive me and cover me when I ws weak. I would do the same.
I’d start a local support group for spouses.
I’d spend more time with my mom and dad.
I’d tone up and for my 60th birthday get a Lifestyle lift. I would start getting massages and having my nails done. I would ask my man to brush my hair.
I would find somewhere meaningful to volunteer my time and talent.
I would be happy and have peace.

I paint, write, dream and I am ready for love.

Same difference ( Billy is cuter) ๐

ParticipantWaaaaay cuter Bev.
Debora, I would visit your world any time. I love gardens, fruits and veggies and flowers–I love them all. Watching Meryl Streep in her garden in ‘It’s Complicated’ made me all dreamy.

ParticipantWhat would you desire to accomplish?
Create a Women’s Center where women could get relevant information about things that have kept us disempowered for so long, and help raise a generation who expect to live to their potential and be honestly viewed as equals to men. Push the envelope of expectation in this culture (and obviously other cultures to a greater degree) until the mute acceptance of objectification that fuels porn is finally questioned and discontinued.
What do you want to โleave behindโ?
The women’s center and hopefully a few offshoots. A public garden. Wonderful families and resources for my children.
Where would you live?
Travel the world. HAVE to see Switzerland. Probably settle in Asheville, NC and have a place at the coast for family times.
Would you be alone or with someone?
No idea at all, I am open to either as life goes on.
If you were with someone, what would they be like?
Funny, intelligent, very comfortable in their own skin and painfully honest.
What would you be doing every day?
Arranging connections and resources for the center, writing, painting, gardening, loving my family and celebrating life with my friends.
How would you feel?
Free, fulfilled, content, excited about tomorrows
