I am real close to buying me a very expensive new car. I have never bought a car without H. Not that I can’t buy one myself, it’s just that I would never do something like that without a discussion ( just like my H would never screw a hooker without discussing it with me … Hahahaha)…And I HATE dealing with sales people (car).
If I do this he will shit ( probably literally). Of course there is nothing he can do about it.
I’m not even sure I want the stupid car but the idea of doing it tickles me.
It’s not anything that will put me into a money crises. It’s just enough to really rattle him. And, honestly, it is a bad ass car…. 🙂
Okay ladies… What do you think? Buy the car and say to hell with whatever or am I just being ridiculously vindictive and petty and doing some mid life crises cliche crap???
well I don’t want to rain on your parade Bev but mercedes convertibles make me want to vomit right now. You’ll look better in one than wt does, though…

Sorry Arleigh… I know these asswipes use that as their “penis extensions “…..I made my H sell his “blow job mobile” and now he drives a Hyundai …. No offense to Hyundai but it ain’t exactly a chick magnet 🙂

And, just so everyone knows….. That Mercedes convertible is a chic car and by that I mean no real man would ever drive one. It’s made for women….guys that drive those look so gay ( no offense to gay men) but don’t try to look straight and drive that car if you’re a guy.
you’re totally right Bev…the only other guy I know who drives wt’s model (SL class) is very openly gay. Wt however is not living in the present, or any form of reality whatsoever, he’s playing the seventies middle eastern playboy which is the image he grew up with…the oily lounge lizards with medallions and two seater sports cars.
Get the Mercedes SUV with sunroof that way you can tote a few sisters around with you, say at the next SOS retreat!
First, I drive a Hyundai Sonata and I drive fast as hell and look hot too. I have never yet been beaten off the line, not even by a GTO. 🙂 Having defended the hotness of Hyundai drivers (at least female ones), I say go for the red convertible. Mercedes? Meh. But red and convertible? Hell yeah.
I have an SUV …it’s a plain old YukonXL……garden variety “soccer mom” stuff….
JoAnn, I would be honored for you to ride in my car and you can bet your ass that no SA will ever ride in it or drive it.
I’m still waffling. I know it is ridiculous and unnecessary. I know that my H will be ….I’m not sure what word to use but something like stunned….
BUT….it would be so much fun and so wasteful. I can’t decide if I want the car or if I am trying to get back at him ( like any car would make up for what he has done)….
As far as serious topics go, this is not important. It does make me smile though, so I think I may just do it 🙂
I have NO problem with Hyundai Daisy. And I know you absolutely look hot (even if you were a bag lady). I just know that my H was NOT happy with the automobile switch…..
I drove a mercedes before kids. I was working and I bought the car ( not a convertible) and I loved it. I traded it in for the SUV/soccer mom car.
My daughter got a Jeep for Christmas and she will have her DL in February. I figured WTF? She gets a car?
Maybe it is just my turn?
Personally, I’m thinking about getting a truck and a horse trailer to tote my dogs in. They sure won’t all fit in my car! What I really need is a big SUV but it breaks my heart because I won’t be able to drive as fast. 🙁 This is the price I pay for puppy love. 🙂
1) do you have to keep up fiction (with yur h) that you are in a real marriage. If not, buy the car. If so, buy it anyway….
2) will this move jeopardize status quo, if you give a S*** about that.

I don’t get it. I really don’t. I see women in these cars all the time. Never in a million years would a man ( in the south) buy a Mercedes SLK as a “pimp/dick mobile”. They would laugh him to death…..
I guess it’s just us redneck women that know a man in that car is a no no 🙂
BTW, when I met my wonderful husband, he drove a Mustang ( manual transmission ) and I thought that was awful enough. I actually think he may have married me because I could drive a stick ( manual transmission ). Not many people can…My Daddy made me learn.
Now those cars were powerful and hard to drive…. I should have known right then what I was dealing with 🙂
Now . . . I drive a Yukon but it’s not a Denali, but it does have leather seats. It’s a 2007 and paid for. And I do have a real shitty looking 2 horse trailer that I can hook up to it. I need the Yukon for transporting 3 dogs.
It’s perfect when you fold the back seat down and all three dogs can stand up in the back. I need one of those screens, though, between the back and front seats. My Willy dog always wants to sit shotgun!
