ParticipantI get a notification of everyone who has signed up, and I have complete control over the list in my dashboard (online where I work with the software). So, I am making sure that only SOS members are signing on, and deleting all others (there has only been one so far, and it was a woman who got there when she purchased an eBook). I have not submitted the domain to the search engines yet, so it is not easily found.
So, you can feel quite safe about posting in the forums, but I would recommend not putting your photos up until it is completely locked down. ~ JoAnn

ParticipantJoAnn is there a way I can register without my email address?
March 9, 2014 at 4:40 pm #129439joann
ParticipantNo. Why would you want to do that NAP?
You can delete your e-mail address from your profile if that is your concern.

ParticipantOkay, does anyone here own these credentials. They just registered. If they are not a Sister they are OUT!
Username : zrecarinah
E-mail : anxiorsom@hotmail.comSo, please don’t register with something new that I don’t recognize or you will be deleted. ~ JoAnn

MemberJoAnn, can I register with my same user name but a different email? I don’t really use the one I used to register initially and since I switched to Windows 8 I haven’t been about to get into that email.
March 9, 2014 at 5:51 pm #129442joann
ParticipantYes, you can use a different e-mail as long as I recognize your user name. If in doubt I will contact anyone who I have a question about. ~ JoAnn

MemberJoAnn, I signed up on the new site, but when I try to delete my email address from my profile, it gives me an error message. I don’t want my email address to be public. What am I doing wrong? Thx, Ali

ParticipantFirst, it is not open to the public, the new site requires someone to be registered and to complete that registration by signing in with the new password before you can see the members only pages.
Let me take a look. Can you PM me with your user name and password and I will sign in as you and see what the problem is with deleting your e-mail?
Don’t worry, I will fix it. ~ JoAnn
March 9, 2014 at 8:13 pm #129445joann
ParticipantOkay, I did a little test, and yes, you can change your e-mail address in your profile, but that will also change it in the system and your payments will not be coordinated with you–which means you will pay but your membership will not be updated.
I have not set up any type of social sharing in the site yet, so right now NO ONE can see your profile with your e-mail except YOU–and me of course 😉
So, please don’t worry about anyone else seeing your e-mail. To test it just try to see anyone else’s e-mail. Betcha can’t.
If you click on Bev’s avatar in the forums and click on her profile no private info is visible.
I will be working on a social networking program for the site this week where you can share as much or a as little info as you like. ~ JoAnn

ParticipantOk let me know when it’s fixed where we can delete our email. I wish I could tell you why but I don’t even know. Thx JoAnn!!
March 9, 2014 at 8:18 pm #129447joann
ParticipantAnd please remember, after you have registered you MUST sign in with the password that was e-mailed to you. You have a choice of either keeping that password or changing.
If you don’t remember the password that was e-mailed to you I have no way of knowing what that is and I really don’t want a bunch of Sisters e-mailing me asking me to change their password manually because they can’t sign in. 🙁

MemberI tried to delete my email and I couldn’t BUT Claire responded to my first post and I cannot see her email anywhere so it’s safe in case anyone is wondering!

ParticipantOh NAP, I’ve so been there, too.
It will pass. One day you will be okay with it.
We love you the way you are.March 10, 2014 at 5:37 am #129450lisak
Participantjoann, my email is down for a day or two (switching it from DWs account to mine), can it wait a couple of days?

MemberWith the new site, on my laptop and phone I can’t see the content of the new topics. I can read all of the replies from others, but not the original post. Would love to read about the more goodies to come.
Not sure if this has been covered so my apologies in advance. So much of our stories are here — when this current forum gets locked and everything is archived, will it be integrated to the new site in a way that our old posts — even if only viewable — get re-linked up to our new profiles or searchable for us to find if we have to? Thanks
