Caught. Do any of them really come forward first? I guess I can see if for some reason they think they are going to get caught?
That could one reason….and the other could be a better reason….a reason that they dont want to live this life anymore….some are actually suicidal (wouldn’t you be?? I would!) WHAT A HORRIBLE LIFE TO LIVE…..
Personally, IMO, I only believe that the ones who come forward stand a chance at all….and even then only 5% make it…. How sad and how risky……5 percent……

Mine was caught.
He forgot to close his secret porn browser window on his laptop one morning.
It was the day my life ended/changed forever. It kills because he says there was so many times before earlier in our relationship that I almost had caught him, literally with his pants down. I wish I had found out earlier rather than 9 years in.
He said when we first started dating he tried to stop his porn use on his own, went without it for 3 weeks, but then couldn’t cope. I wish wish wish WISH he had just told me he had an issue with porn – I never was some prude, ugh. He would have had such better chances to recover if he went into recovery back then. There would have been no strippers… no dating sites… no webcam sex… no nudist beaches… no “dinners” with interstate women… no brothel/prostitute planning. I would have been much less traumatised and I probably would have easily walked away if I saw no improvement. If only…
I have seen on another site (a forum for recovering SA’s) a few of them do come forward on their own, usually they’re in early stages of recovery first by themselves for a few months, and then they want to clue their partner/spouse in because it’s the right thing to do (really) and they want her support. It’s a big fear, but they work up to it. It’s interesting to read their journals. Although, who knows the spouse’s side of the story. Most of them are addicted to porn and have affairs, rather than more progressed to hookers and illegal shit etc, so I think that might make it slightly easier? They do seem to express having a lot of pain and wanting a better normal life.
Busted big time… Although, he was already talking to his therapist about it ( I know this from her). He was spiraling out of control.
Caught twice…..via spyware then later with gps. Not counting the two in between that he tried to spin as “accidental” actress searching online
Confessed to a porn addiction on his own, but was caught on all the other stuff, exactly one year ago today…oh joy.. let’s have cake and barf it up. xoxo
Caught. I found out recently that he’s had six major porn purges in his life. Two occurred before we ever met.
*shakes head in disbelief*

Caught. Evidence dropped in my lap in 2005. Caught again “in sobriety” again, with evidence that just dropped in my lap. I wonder what I would have found with eBlaster. Now I could care less…after 40 years of porn, I can find no trust and I don’t want to live with someone who has to be polygraphed every 6 months!
Came forward but only because the man he was seeing at the time urged him to……..only to see if i would participate in his crossing, taking it on the a** activities…..yeah right.
I forgot to mention, since discovery, in 1.5 years I have caught him again about 10 times. Lots of fake “sobriety”. He will confess only if he thinks I’ve already caught him. It’s cat and mouse.
