InactiveHello Everyone,
First of all, my beloved kitty is in the hospital after emergency surgery and then an emergency plasma transfusion today.
The prognosis isn’t good, but we should know more tomorrow.
Please make note that I have a co-dependent relationship with my kitty… and I’m a wreck… but since I am already going mad,
I wanted to share something with y’all…
The other day (only 3 days ago)– I had a friend request on FAKEBOOK (what i call it) from a man that I did not recognize in face or name.
Lawyerdude wants to be friends with you on Fakebook.

no recollection whatsoever,
So, I wrote:
Do I know you?
And he wrote: (16 minutes later)
Hey Lexie. How are you? I think we do. Was clearing through contacts and you were in there. Put in your email to see if I knew/recognized you….wasn’t sure if I had actually added you (if that makes any sense)…. But, apparently I did! In any event, you’re welcome. ๐ Not sure if you’d remember, but I think we almost did business (you’re an inerior designer, yes?) together some time ago…
“clearing through contacts”, huh??? I had absolutely NO recollection… so, to be nice and polite, I wrote back:
The ONLY thing I wrote:
no recollection, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! ๐he wrote:
LOLNow, that should’ve been the end of it, right? And even with that, why is this dude friending me, in any case??? kinda weird. right? I will say, that last night, I looked deeply into my archives and during a particularly busy period, I did meet him and his wife– one time in 2002 and sent them my letter of agreement and never heard back from them. But, I had absolutely no memory of meeting either of them. It has happened before. I meet a lot of people.
One minute later he writes:
๐Why the f**k is this dude smiling at me after he already wrote “LOL”? Creep meter is now activated– YELLOW ALERT… I look at his profile; not in depth, but I did peruse it, and nothing special or out of the ordinary and I spent maybe 2 minutes– tops doing this. I did find his wife and noted that they have three young children.
THEN… SEVEN hours later— he writes me again! wtf??? Creep meter has gone from yellow to ORANGE. Oh what did he say???
He said:
“mimi rogers”
Now, I do have a pic on my profile photo page of the actress Mimi Rogers that I used as a “doppelganger” last year…
Okay… he’s f**king stalking me… and HE’S HITTING ON ME!! uh oh… best to just…
ignore.
25 hours later— ANOTHER MESSAGE!
He said:
To be clear, that was not an original thought, but rather a comment on the picture you have up there…. And, thanks! ๐
Boingggggggggg– creep meter is sounding RED ALERT! RED ALERT! To be clear? for WHAT??? and thanks for what? I didn’t say anything!
with a wink, no less…
ewww… what to do what to do what to do… stalker, hitter… hmmm… sex addict?
***
I wrote him back and said:
are you alright? why are you writing me all of the time?
He wrote back, nine minutes later:
Didn’t realize I was writing all the time…. (Once yesterday, once when I just came on and checked messages….?) Nothing bad meant. Sorry (I guess)…. ๐
***
Sorry, I guess? and it was not once. It was FOUR TIMES the day before not counting the friend request and WHAT MESSAGES??? I did not write him!I am thinking… this has GOT to stop, right now!!!
Oh boy… gotta put that puppy on a leash… He’s clearly on a fishing expedition and hmmm… well…………….. I don’t think ol’ Take-No-Prisoners-Bunny-boiling-Lexie is what lawyerdude had in mind… uh oh…
The first thing I did was “unfriend” him and blocked him completely—
What do you think?
1) Is this man a sex addict/sexual predator?
2) What would you do?
3) What did I do?You don’t have to answer all or any of those questions.
I will answer with Part II in a few days.
Tomorrow will most likely be a funeral. (I’m in a state of shock and I’ve never had a pet who died on me) and then my older son is giving a recital in Boston on MD.
Thank you, in advance… writing all of this shet, really helped me to feel better… at least for now…

MemberHey Lexie,
You did the right thing. I would just block him and forget it….who knows if he’s and SA/predator, or just a regular annoying guy on the prowl.
On other notes, I’m so so sorry to hear what is happening with your cat…I am hoping for a miracle, and if that doesn’t happen, I’ll be grieving right with you. As I’ve told you before, I have 2 cats, and they give me so much joy and comfort. I’ve never had a pet that I love die before, and when their time comes, I don’t even want to think about how hard it will be.
Congratulations on your son…please enjoy that as best you can–you must be so proud, and you deserve so much joy!

ParticipantI agree! What a weirdo! You did the right thing and that’s that! You shouldn’t hear from him again, especially since you blocked him as well! What a creeper!
So sorry to hear about kitty. Please keep us posted! A pet is a family member and I understand your stress/sadness!
Enjoy your son, too! How cool!Happy Mother’s Day! (early)

ParticipantRegardless this guy has the creaper radar up. You could respond by saying Oh Hi how are you. Are you inerested in getting that room re-done like we had spoke about? How is your wife, any kids yet?
My one thought is that you said that there sre some videos of you out there. I worry that somehow he happened upon them or soemthing like that. Clearly the guy probably thought you were hot when he met you. Maybe he lost his mistress or he is divorced, who knows. But I would say your radar is spot on on this one. Who knows he is probably drunk or high.
I hope your kitty gets better. I am sorry sheis sick. I love my pets too, dread teh day when soemthing bad happens.
Happy mothers day!Love and hugs,

ParticipantLexie you obviously did the right thing. That kind of behavior is doubly upsetting to those of us who can unfortunately picture their husband in that creepy role. Hits close to home. So hard to see a beloved pet suffer. I hope you’re ok. Hugs
