If you missed it last year, the super perigee moon is back for an encore performance.

Tonight, the moon will be up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than the other full moons of 2012, according to NASA.

That’s because it will reach perigee, its closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit, at 11:34 p.m. ET and become full just a minute later.

    Enjoy!

I see it, I can feel it. It is magnificent! The full moon is here in all her glory. The trees in my valley are a lacey canopy of black against the luminescent sky.

The frogs are singing romance while the crickets chirp with abandon. One of the resident Great Horned Owls hoots and I am amazed that I can actually see green colored patches in the valley.

This is Mother at her very finest.

It has lit up the whole property. I can see the donkeys resting on the ground in the distance. It truly is beautiful.
