No, it’s not Larry this time, it’s the management of this website. For some reason every single piece of software has required updating lately. Most go smoothly or with just tiny glitches. But today I did what is usually a very easy upgrade and WHAM!
The error message hell broke lose. I swear, this is going to be the death of me.
Unfortunately, when I restore the site to a previous state I have to use that last automatic back up and we lose everything that was written between then and now.
I will try and see if I can merge the database back up with the one just before the upgrade, but I am afraid I will just fuck it up even worse.
I have several nasty e-mails out to the software gurus who supposedly support the software that I use.
So please, go back and update your comments if you can.

JoAnn, I’m so glad it’s you doing this, with your skills. I’ve been stuck just trying to get my printer to work for 2 mos. I am so impressed with your talents.
Thank you lynn, but I have to say it’s been a real challenge lately.
I seem to be stuck in a circular software cluster fuck. I cannot update software A. It just messes everything up.
And, I cannot update software B unless software A is updated.
And round and round it goes.
And, on top of that every time I try and then revert back it messes up a bunch of other things and I get a bunch of e-mails from Sisters who have lost a piece of access. And these just happen to be ‘random’ so I can’t find a pattern.
Okay, I’m done whining now. I am hoping to hear from my consulting firm that helps me when I get backed into a corner. Otherwise I am on my own.
I really do apologize to anyone who has lost some posts or comments, believe me, I know how fucking frustrating that is.
I’m going to have a good stiff drink before dinner and fantasize about bare chested pool boys that resemble Johnny Depp (our pool ‘boy’ is a limping old man with a bad knee)! ~ JoAnn
