It’s Thanksgiving weekend for Canadians!
I am so thankful that I trusted my instincts and didn’t let my husband SA keep my trapped in his cycle of crazy. I’m thankful I have recovered myself and recognized myself in the life I’m now living. I’m thankful that I have a support network that keeps me honest and challenges me to grow everyday. I’m thankful that my faith gets stronger the more I trust in the hope and purpose of my own life. I’m thankful that being open has meant I have many wonderful people in my life that I never expected would be in it, including my sisters here.
Thank you. Thank you Mystery of All that is.

Talking with other women who have felt this terrible betrayal and pain and loss and who have somehow managed to move beyond it to joy and happiness and life….well…I guess that is why we are all here, isn’t it? To learn again, how to live a life that we are thankful for, rather than just enduring the life we have? You are such a good example of hope for the future and proof that it is never too late. Happy Thanksgiving Diane. Karen x

October 10, 2011 at 2:26 pm #20175dianeParticipantthank you for the greetings.
We had the big turkey dinner last night—my two sons, one girlfriend and the new man in my life. First meeting. All went well. My sons told me he was a very nice guy, not a jerk. And my man told me my sons were charming, good and easy mannered (and that they must take after me). Best thanksgiving ever. My SA is on sabbatical and out of the country.October 10, 2011 at 5:43 pm #20176kattMemberhappy thanksgiving- funny i dug up my sweet potatoes yesterday and was thinking how grateful i am for everyone here.

Happy Thanksgiving to you both! I’m curious how your Thanksgiving day was established? What’s the history?
I’m also thankful to know you as sisters.
