    Please send good energy to me and my family. My oldest grandson, Garic, who was just 24 years old, had just graduated from college and was about to be commissioned as an officer in the United States Marines was killed in a car accident on Saturday morning.

    I will be out of town for the funeral this week. I am numb and just cannot think of anything else to write at this time.

    I am so sad and sorry to hear your tragic news. I wish I had some special words to share. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to you and your precious family at this time of sorrow. Visualize your army of sisters behind you as you somehow make it through this week. You are so special to all of us, JoAnn. Without you and what you have created, none of us would be here, know and care for each other, and for me, personally, even have a sane thought left in my spinning head! We would do anything for you and I wish I could take this heartache away. You are in my thoughts, prayers, and especially my heart as you celebrate a young man’s life taken way too soon!!     Oh JoAnn such sad news. I am so sorry for your loss. What a horrible shock for you and your family. Death is hard, but especially when it is someone so young and full of life. Thank goodness you have that big family to lean on, but I have a feeling that you are the one who is going to be “leaned on” the most because you seem like such a strong, caring person.

    JoAnn,
    Please take care of yourself during this difficult time. Such a blow for you and your family. This is another shocking and traumatic event in your life. Be gentle, take time to feel your emotions and try to be good to yourself. I am sending big hugs to you and pray that you will find the strength to endure this difficult chapter.
    JoAnn you are a strong amazing woman, you will be OK. This will be tough, but you will get through this. Let each moment bring you to the next.

    ‘Thank You’ to everyone for your condolences. They were a great comfort to me during this very stressful week. I am home now and playing catch up on everything that was left behind.

    I will post a tribute to Garic on the blog page as soon as I can gather my thoughts.

    Again, thank you Sisters. This time you took care of me instead of the other way around.
