Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!!

I sent myself an edible arrangement fruit package, got a cute little bouquet delivered from my parents, my h bought an amazing red velvet cake (which surprised me), then I went to dinner with my kids and hubby. A couple we are friends with joined us at the last minute which made my night.

I’m still trying to shake a typical back handed crack my h made about my weight during dinner as I ate. I blurted something back asking is there not one day that’s off limits to shitty comments about my weight and thanked him for instantly ruining what had been a nice bday so far. Talk about awkward for the other couple. He said he was just kidding. Could you not kid me just one day especially my bday IN FRONT OF OTHERS about eating I asked. Then he sat silently the rest of the meal and I pretended he wasn’t there.

Was home in bed by 9:20pm. Happy freaking birthday to me.
Next year, I’ve decided I’m celebrating it as a single person whether I am or not.

Thanks ladies….I’m already kicking around ideas of where to go next yr….I’m always inclined to pick going back home and get a hotel for the weekend because that’s the closest locale for all my closest gf’s. We went to Kindergarten together. 5 of us. Very tight still.

But I want to go where I haven’t been before….Chicago or Florida comes to mind. I may pay to fly a couple of them to go with me. I don’t travel solo. We’ll see….
