He called me from the dealership wanting to buy it. He already found a trailer park he can park it at for $400/mo and the 5th wheel is $316/mo financed and then we can deduct the interest, because the salesman said so.
This would get him out of the house. I told him this was not a decision to make impulsively. We need to look at the cost of insurance, registration, cost to get the pick-up set up for the 5th wheel slip and installation of it. Lots to consider, not to mention the fact that I wouldn’t want my name on the loan.

Well, if he focuses on buying that, it would certainly keep his mind off of the alternative lodgings, prison. A sane man wouldn’t even consider doing anything until after the sentencing hearing. A sane man might not even be out looking at anything until after he knew he wasn’t going to prison. Sorry for all of the craziness he puts you through, Claire.
Absolutely NOT Claire!! Do not let him buy this or anything significant until after the sentencing – especially if your name is going on it too or if it’s something you would be responsible for paying as a marital debt if he goes to prison! That is insane! He can wait one fucking week to see what happens before making any decisions. Hell, even if he doesn’t go to jail, there may be limitations on his freedom of movement that would be a problem if he’s living in a fucking camper! ARGH! He is such a tool.

I agree with arleigh. These guys tend to get compulsive in order to avoid thinking about the awful behavior and consequences. My guess is he is pouring himself into this bc he doesn’t think he is going to prison…..remember, they all think theyare superior human beings and the rules do not apply to them!!! Obviously do not sign anything. I don’t know if you can think of an excuse to put it off for a few weeks. Even if you have to trick him. Try to outmanipulate the manipulator. I just would hate to see this turn into a pissing contest with him and even if it just has his name on it, if you are still married ( at least in Pa), the debt is yours too.
Second class citizen? I just think about the children that were abused for his viewing pleasure. Talk about second class citizens. I am SO praying for jail time and a cell mate that really wants a boyfriend!
