    I Said Goodbye

    I said goodbye
    to my friend today
    she was someone
    I met along the way
    during life’s journey
    led a stray

    I met her dog
    her husband too
    Saw her family photos
    met Karen too

    Of all the people
    I’ve ever met
    she stands out
    so kind and special
    was heaven sent

    The day I met her
    she was still in shock
    lost her home
    to a May tornado

    I’ll never forget her
    as long as I live
    She became my friend
    she gave me things
    told me stories
    made me sing.

    Nap,
    Did your friend just leave from her visit? Were you the one where a friend was visiting?
    Either way, very nice as usual.

    She was a friend I met at the hotel, they lived here 3 months. They lost their home to a tornado.
