Increase in spousal support?

Hi Sisters. Has anyone ever heard of an increase in spousal support after the divorce was finalized?

I was such a mess when I divorced the disgusting pervert …..I think I shot myself in the foot financially. In my case….I just wanted to get away from DD……far away. That was my main goal. I had such a bad case of PTSD….I know I wasn’t thinking clearly when I had my divorce papers drafted.

I asked my attorney if there’s any chance I can get an increase in my spousal maintenance since I was in such a bad frame of mind when I originally filed. She said, yes, if I can prove to the court that DD’s income has increased significantly. By marrying the Janitor…I’d say that DD’s income increased. Do you think this would be worth a court battle?

Does new spouse’s income count as an “increase of the SA’s income?” I’m up to giving them both a court battle from hell if I knew I had a chance to win more spousal support.
