The time for the changeover to the new site is almost here, so please go and register now for the Trial subscription.
DO NOT sign up for the Free version, that offers limited access to the site and no access to the forums.
And remember, you should be starting new topics and commenting in the new forum as when the switch occurs you will no longer have access to these forums for a while, and you will not be able to comment or start new topics when they are archived.
So, head on over and sign up for the trial–it’s free and when your normal subscription runs out you will just have to sign up one more time with payment details.
March 14, 2014 at 1:08 pm #129831deboraParticipantI registered a few days ago, no problem. I tried to visit the site just now and went on a change password loop. I give the info to change it. I receive an email with the link that sends me back to give the info to change it. Help.
March 14, 2014 at 1:35 pm #129832joannParticipantE-mail me the password you want and I will plug it in. ~ JoAnn
And, I’ll test that loop and see what’s happening. Sorry
March 14, 2014 at 1:59 pm #129833joannParticipantOkay Debora, try it again. I had one of the pages set as private, so if you are not logged in you can’t see it.
If you are able to log in you can now go to your profile page (it is a sub menu under the login tab) and edit your password.
If you can’t log in you can do the lost password thing. You should get two e-mails. The first is the link, and when you click that you will get the log in page. It will have a message that says, ‘Check your e-mail for your new password’.
Sign in with that new password and you will be prompted to fill out some more info for my data base. Fill that in and update.
Once you are signed in you can go to your profile page and change your password–I just added that field.
Try it and see if it works for you.
March 14, 2014 at 2:08 pm #129834joannParticipantActually, now when you log in at any time you come to the page where you can change your profile. Don’t know if I like that or if I should change it. Give me your input. ~ JoAnn
March 14, 2014 at 7:23 pm #129835daisy1962MemberHi JoAnn. When I try to use the link you posted above I get a “page not available” error message. 🙁 Help please?!
March 14, 2014 at 7:31 pm #129836joannParticipantWhich link are you referring to Daisy?
March 14, 2014 at 7:31 pm #129837daisy1962MemberOkay I was able to get in using the link in the password email I received when I registered for the “free trial” before the “trial membership” was offered. I thought I needed to re-register with the “trial membership” but it won’t let me (user name and email already in use) so I’ll try to log on and see what I can do.
March 14, 2014 at 7:32 pm #129838daisy1962Member, head on over and sign up for the trial–it’s free and when your normal subscription runs out you will just have to sign up one more time with payment details.

Is this just for those who did not already register with the free trial registration? I’m so confused!
March 14, 2014 at 7:36 pm #129839joannParticipantDaisy, you have already registered, so what exactly are you trying to do? I can help.
March 14, 2014 at 7:36 pm #129840joannParticipantOh…I see. I can change you over to the Trial.
March 14, 2014 at 7:37 pm #129841daisy1962MemberJust put it down to too much sun JoAnn. I’m all better now. Really. 😀
March 14, 2014 at 7:38 pm #129842joannParticipantCan you sign in and see the forums list?
March 14, 2014 at 7:39 pm #129843daisy1962MemberYes I can. Yay!
March 14, 2014 at 7:40 pm #129844joannParticipantI added a Photo Gallery in the forum groups and posted two pictures of Phantom.
Now any Sister can post photos in the forums, either in the photo gallery or in any topic or comment.
March 14, 2014 at 7:41 pm #129845joannParticipantYay Daisy!
March 14, 2014 at 7:58 pm #129846daisy1962MemberI can’t change the profile picture though. I tried several different pictures to no avail.
March 14, 2014 at 8:43 pm #129847joannParticipantI’ll look into that. Sorry.
Maybe the file is too big? Let me check and see if I can fix that.
March 15, 2014 at 3:14 pm #129848napParticipantJoAnn,
When I click on the link I don’t see where to register ? help please . NapMarch 15, 2014 at 5:02 pm #129849joannParticipantIt should be right here:

Remember, choose the Trial subscription
March 15, 2014 at 5:03 pm #129850joannParticipantIt might have helped if I had spelled the first link correctly!
Brain dead here. ~ JoAnn
March 15, 2014 at 11:24 pm #129851deboraParticipantI’m in over there but I can’t upload a photo. I am going through the process – browse, select, upload – it just doesn’t upload it.
I went to the dashboard and it said something about a plugin. do we have do download that? Is that relevant to the picture?
Will we have the avatars showing who’s online on the other site?
Can you make the forums page with bigger print?
I LOVE the photo option and the fancy menu for posting (I don’t know what it’s called)
Do you know if the replies will get lost on the new software?
Enough questions. It’s fab!
You da bomb
Debora
March 16, 2014 at 12:24 am #129852victoria-lMemberMy photo upload isn’t working either. I used a small file.
JoAnn, wondering if you have access to configure the mobile version of the site. The width of the posts are very narrow, only 4 words per line. With replies to replies it’s even narrower — 2 words per line. It doesn’t allow to switch to desktop view either, which I imagine probably would have helped solved the issue. Are there any ways to change the parameters on mobile view to make it more natural and easy to read the paragraphs? Here is fine.
Thanks!
March 16, 2014 at 3:33 am #129853joannParticipantI will be doing more testing in the morning. I will check why the photo upload isn’t working and I will test the mobile views.
If anyone else has seen any issues please let me know so I can work on them. ~ JoAnn
