When I went to see my MD his young nurse ( shes a NA) was crying while she was taking my blood pressure. Then cried all throughout asking me questions. I asked her if she was okay? She said it was pms and her allergies but I knew it wasn’t. After the Dr saw me I went and found her. She was still crying. I told her I was worried about her and asked if there was anything I could do to help her. After a bit through tears, she said she just moved into an apartment and didn’t have the money for the pet deposit and she was going to have to give away her cat. The apartment people had seen it in the window. Her family didn’t have the money to give her. I ask her how much it was, she told me. I left, got the money, gave it to her, told her she didn’t have to pay it back. She was so happy. That money meant much more to her than me
Thanks Nap! Great idea! I am actually doing one today/tonight. I’m driving 3 hours to Elizabethtown, Ky to meet my new BF half way for an overnighter…at his request…because he misses me so much!! 🙂

I haven’t. I need to get on the ball. But I was on the receiving end of a random axct of kindness. I went to blockbster last night hoping to score a copy of Cars 2 to have family movie night. They were all out. So my H went to the front to see if there were any up there and another guy did the same seconds before my H. There was one copy and the guy asked my H if he wanted to flip for it. My H told him no, he was there first so it was rightfully his, go on and rent it. The guy then had the clerk call another blockbuster that had one in and put it aside. He then gave us his copy and went to the other location to rent his. I truly thought that it was just the nicest thing. It made my night
Oh Nap, I missed that one, but great that you went to the doctor! I’m so proud of you and such a heart-warming story, too!
As for kindness… I have a fantasy one… I’m a billionaire (or close to it) and there’s an elderly woman who’s working in a dunkin do-nuts and you can tell that she’s on the verge of collapse, but she HAS to work. I whip out my check book, and write out a check for a million dollars and hand it to her and say…
“This is for you, now you just walk straight out that door and go and buy a condo in Florida and relax. You’ve earned it!”

Not a big one. My daughter and i went to a horse and donkey rescue on friday. They also take in a few pmu mares every year. One such mare someone else had adopted, but then found she was pregnant, very pregnant. So they took her in. We gave spitfire and her mom some money to pay for their care. We even got to pet spitfires nose. She is about two month old chestnut filly. Not huge. But every little bit makes a difference.
