JoAnn’s friend Cecilia just did a group mail to let folks know she has just gone in for her surgery.

    “Focus, people, focus!!”

(a line from a Wanda Sykes routine about what the drug company said to the scientists who accidentally stumbled upon a cure for cancer while they were supposed to be improving VIAGRA. “Focus, People, Focus!!!”.
Dark humour that I think JoAnn would enjoy, but this time we really mean it to HER benefit.

I snuck around and I have JoAnn’s address ( meaning: I asked her and she gave it to me). I would never put it out without her permission but I will put my address on my profile and anyone that would like to send a card can mail to her in C/O me. I will collect them ( unopened of course) and put them in a large envelope for her if anyone is interested.

Just let me know that you sent a card and I will wait and collect them all…snail mail is slow but it works 🙂

Thanks for the updates Diane (and Cecilia). I always get nauseous from anesthesia too – well, more than just nauseous to be honest… so I am feeling JoAnn’s pain. Glad everything went okay.

Zofran!! Works like than Phenergan but faster and less sedating (in my experience). Although, she might want sedating now.

I hope she gets some good drugs to take home with her! And I hope this is the last of any agony she gets from that jerk.

She is home, she says a second dose of Zofran took care of the nausea, and she’s just tired, now. Small snack and to bed.

    Whew.

    thank God

Thank God that is over. God…I would f–king kill my H is he gave me something. I don’t know how he didn’t. I HATE Larry (who) Surgery is bad enough without having the person you tried to love be the cause of it!!!! UGH so pissed. JoAnn…take care of yourself, Sweetheart, and just rest and feel the relief of knowing that cross is now over. karen xx

Thank you dear Sisters for your good energy. I will get pathology reports in about two weeks.

Per above, anyone can send cards directly to my home (thanks Bev, I love you):

I posted this in the LEEP topic, but here it is again for those of you who might have missed it.

I’m back home. I drifted off into surgical la la land smiling and thinking of all the love and good wishes that were coming from all of you and my wonderful family.

It was a bit worse than I had hoped for because I was quite nauseated when I woke up. That is unusual for that anesthesia and they had given me anti nausea meds before I went into surgery.

So, they gave me an IV dose of zofran for the nausea, and it just didn’t work. So, after 45 minutes they gave me another dose and it worked.,

I was real shaky after the surgery, but they said that was normal. It too went away in about an hour.

I guess I just expected it to be a piece of cake, like when I had my colonoscopy, but it wasn’t.

But I am okay now, really tired but no pain or cramping. So, I’m going to eat a bit and go to bed.

Love to all of you my dear Sisters ~ JoAnn

Gentle hugs to you, dear JoAnn. God, if I ever get my hands on Larry (who), I will fucking kill him with my bare hands for doing this to you. And as I don’t know what that Perp looks like, I would advise any man named Larry to give me a wide berth.

So glad you are feeling better now that this is all over. I also get nausea with every surgery, even with the anti-nausea meds before hand. I don’t know why they can’t prevent that. its horrible to come out of surgery hurting and have to deal with nausea as well.

Get some rest dear girl. We’ll be here waiting for your next update.

    Much love, Claire
