I hear you on the SAH stranger factor. I too remember a different man — someone I loved and married. then some alien shows up, looking just like them…it truly is Twilight Zone worthy.
If the texting gets too creepy, there’s always the restraining order option. I don’t know if one is necessary, but if he becomes incessant — and it is disrupting your life, the court can help. but if eblocker works for you — great
I agree, they are ALL creeps. It doesn’t really matter what they look like or level of attractiveness. I always thought my SA was handsome and cute, with an innocent nice guy look to him – now that I know he’s a SA, that awful knowledge has totally changed how I view him. Even his facial features have changed for me – I see slimy, creepy, cunning all over his face.
Teri – I picked up slight creepiness from the video, but I think it’s probably because I knew he’s an SA beforehand.
Maybe we need to do “spot the SA” – make us guess which one he out of a line up kind of thing, see if we can train our radar/intuition.

I think every photo here is a beautiful woman. Sharron is probably right. Attractive wives are an SA MUST. Too bad (for them) they cannot keep most of us.
Re the flat head shovel: I used one to kill a ground hog that my dogs had chewed up. It was AWFUL! The poor thing made this horrible squealing sound that was barely audible over my own screams. I think it would be much easier to use one on an SA however. But just in case I’d keep the gun close to hand rather than the shovel. That way you can keep a good distance – that shovel is real up close and personal. : )
In all seriousness Lynn, please be careful. He does sound like he is escalating badly. Do whatever you have to do to keep yourself and your kids safe. And the text blocker and the extra deadbolts are great ideas.
Lynn, you cracked me up with the lasik comment. For the record, i had lasik in 2005 and still ended up with an SA creep! i can now see the stars at night but apparently it didn’t help with my creep-dar 🙁
Lynn – I’m worried. Sounds like your SA is obsessed and on the verge of a breakdown. Please be careful. (the trained hotline/group domestic violence worker in me).
Does he ever come home? Does he have a planned visit anytime soon? Which state does he live in (vs. you?). I just have visions of the crazed NASA lady who drove across country with a diaper on. It sounds like he has reached the real looney stage.
Please keep us posted. And yes, SL, good point. They are all creepy. I do think that some hide it better than others. Lynn’s SA didn’t hide it very well on AC – his PD was front and center – in stark comparison to Lynn and AC who looked very normal.

Thanks for checking in Deb. I have the same concerns. There are no plans for him to visit. I installed a text and call blocker which is working. But I had to call him today to ask to please deposit something into bank, because the job I was planning on is not open so I have to go by looking. Did not sleep last night dreading that call. He sounds awful. Said a lot of things that made made no logical sense and saying he’ll have to send money by a Western Union. I am wondering what the hell is up with the bank account? Do I need to pull my name off the joint acct to protect my credit? He said he’s lost more weight. At 6’4″ he now weighs 147. The whole conversation was barely believable stuff. He stuttered a lot.

Yes, Lynn, I think you most definitely need to get your name off the bank account. If he’s wiring you money ‘old school’ Western Union, I believe he should be able to send that to any account. That’s just plain weird. Stay safe…and keep that gun handy.
