While I was visiting the new BF down in the holler of Tennessee, we actually went “into town”, lol and watched Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the new movie with Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks. The name slightly annoys me… too long and WTH? I did, however, enjoy the movie. It wont make it to my all time top 10 or anything – but I am glad we took it in and I think I would recommend it. Has anyone else watched it yet?
Also, at home we watched a dvd that we had laying around – “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”. That one is not so new, but I DID think it was pretty hilarious. Pretty much a chick flick, but my BF hung in there and liked it too. (He’s sappy like that!) Yay! A man with a sensitive side!! What a switch for ME!! I’m pretty sure he would cry watching Ole Yeller… and maybe even Snoopy Come Home!!
I’m down for checking out some new movies – at the theater AND some older ones that are now out on dvd… so if anyone has watched some good ones lately, please share!I watched War Horse thought it was beautiful and I was ready to move back to England and specificly a farm in Devon.
Saw Warhorse and thought it was beautiful, it made us all cry and laugh and talk for hours afterwards.
Saw Shame and that was like being hit in the gut with a brick. Just draining, and black and too close to home.
I couldn’t tell at the end scene if he gained some discernment and self control and stopped his relentless sexual predatory practices and respected that woman as a person, or just gave up and slid the last few feet into Hell.I haven’t seen the movie but I was annoyed at how quickly they flash the name at the movie at the end of the trailer because I couldn’t finish reading it. So thanks for filling me in on the title!
I watched Soul Surfer (DVD) with my daughters this weekend. I cried. My oldest daughter said, “Look!!! Mommy DOES have a heart!” I threw my shoe at her.
I liked ghosts of girlfriends past. I love chick flix now. Because they’re normally isn’t nudity, bikini’s, and cleavage. I guess because they don’t need sex to sell to woman.
