i’m chuckling away. my father has been in thailand. i have not spoken to him much about what has been going on in the last 6 months. i sent him a message a while ago, telling him we will be selling the house, and asking if i can borrow some money.

here’s an email he sent to me and DW. it’s really making me laugh. i don’t know what kind of fall out with DW i’m going to have because of this, but for now, it’s really making me smile. 🙂

    Hello Lisa and Steve.
The house and the property belongs to Caden until he is 18 years old. At least that is what one Judge said to the parents. He also said, as in most cases, the mother is to have custody of the kid. They reside in the kids house. The father can have the kid every second weekend for 3 days. The father is to provide support for the kid, house and the mother. One Judge from Vancouver.
You can divorce without settling assets.
Steve, take care of the mother of your child. If at any time I feel that you are not fare with her, your history will not be so private. Think about Caden, Lisa and your job. What you did is a problem. The bigger problem is being deceitful and not telling the truth for years. It hurt Lisa and it hurt me and most likely your mother. It is time for you, Steve, to be the one to give. A good start for you.

Yes, this is a letter for smiling. I am thankful that you are receiving such wonderful support from your father. He gives me hope.

Wonderful. Just wonderful for you and Caden.

Bob is the man! I’m smiling too Lisa. DW however is probably hating that he got called out. That makes me smile even more. 😀

Lisa, I’m all choked up reading this, that is absolutely beautiful. Don’t worry about the fall out. If your husband says anything, tell him you didn’t write the letter, a grown man did and if he has any questions or concerns he should talk to the person who wrote the letter:) This made my day!

yes, it still makes me smile. DW did ask me to talk to my dad. i told him to talk with him himself. DW has never stood up for me when his parents were abusive to me, so why would i intervene? it is nice to have someone not tip toe around him.

DW doesn’t get it that he isn’t in a great position and that he could lose a lot. and when i try to tell him, he doesn’t hear it, he thinks i’m threatening him, those kinds of paranoid and delusional thoughts prevent him from hearing the truth.

and he thinks he can bully me or guilt me into silence. i let it go for now, because i won’t pull out those guns unless i need them when we go to sign the agreement. but it is nice to have him shaken up a bit.

these guys are so out of it, they don’t realize that a lot of society actually sees their f’d up behaviour like this! many of the people i have told, reacted in this exact way. they get pissed off. they think it is outrageous. they want me to get out, and they want him to take responsibility.

the down side of this, is that i sent a message to my dad last week asking if i can borrow some money. he hasn’t responded to that. so i replied to his message asking if he could answer me.

I love your dad’s letter. It lets DW see how the normal world views his behavior.

I hope he can lend you the money if you need it.

I want to borrow someone like your dad too. Often, I reflect that ex sa rat was emboldened knowing that I had no relatives who could come and give him a piece of their mind. He knew, he knew I was vulnerable to him.

So glad to hear that DW is shaken up. He sounds like a very abusive man and you are handling yourself well.

Married 24 years? Yes, honey you deserve half of everything and the money it takes to parent your son. This is a no brainer.

Your Dad is a REAL man. God bless him. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, but DW just heard it crystal clear. I, too, love your Dad, and I know that if my Dad were still alive, he’d be out here in a second and kick my SA’s ass to the curb.

    I’d be smiling too!

    Much love, Claire

That’s a great letter. We tiptoe around so much in fear of getting them angry before we can get documents signed. Our family does not have to abide by that, oh to have that kind of freedom. I love it. Kudos to your Dad for calling him out to grow up and act like a man.

Loved that letter from your Dad! I hope he can help you with the money but at the very least it sounds like he has your back when it comes to DW. I am glad of that. I wish to God my Mom was alive to speak to my husband.

Not long after my Mother died, (and before D-Day) my SA told me that she came to him in a dream and told him he needed to change his ways or he would be going to Hell. Apparently he didn’t listen.

You’d a thought that would have set my spidey senses on high alert, right?

What a dream, Liza. And, to admit to it! lisak, you are fortunate to have a Dad who would write such a letter.

Yeah, Penny, I thought he was referring to his assholiness in general. Who knew?
