I just agreed to have all my daughter`s friends come to our house to get ready for Homecoming Dance. That means 10 girls, 10 flat irons, and 100000 pounds of drama. I love all these girls and they love love me. I am so happy that I felt well enough to host this “event’. I think I can do it. I have you ladies to thank for that strength. I did not want to be crying in bed for my daughter`s first high school dance. I couldn`t imagine doing this without you all. I get to be a part of the make up, the hair, the dresses, the pictures….They are going as a group and no dates ( girl power). I am excited.

Good for you Bev! There may be tears that night but I bet they are tears of joy. You are obviously an awesome mom that all the girls want to hang out with. Enjoy the moment!

You are so strong, Bev. I have been thinking of you these past few days with what you have had going on. I’m sorry I haven’t had a chance to show more support, but know you are in my thoughts.
KateBev you’re going to have a blast! Getting ready is just as much fun as the dance! It might be helpful to have double sided dress tape on hand, I used to use double sided carpet tape!! I make the girls sit down and see if their dress gaps, or goes too low ~ and then I tape’em up!! No boobs falling out on my clock!!
Bev, you are such an AWESOME mom!!! Your daughter and her friends are so lucky to have you. What a great memory filled night that will be. And I LOVE that these girls are going together. Smart runs in the family, I see.

I too am so happy for you and it’s so good for you and your daughter, not to let life stop and pass you by. I know you’re a really strong person and a loving and caring mother. Her friends will be so happy too. It just shows even amongst adversity, we can keep living and bring joy to others.

Teri, DA is banned from the house during my time. I have given him “chores” to help get the house/lawn ready. He will take my son to basketball and keep him entertained during girl time.
How awesomely healthy! Bev, you are such an inspiration to everyone. Your children are so lucky to have you. Your love for them shines through in almost every post you do.
Enjoy these special moments, they will last a lifetime in your memory and in your daughter’s memory.
There is so much more to life than the chaos that has been thrust upon us, and it’s up to us to step out of that chaos and back into life.

Sounds like a wonderful time and so much fun. I love the 100000 of drama comment. 🙂 I have sons. I wish I had a daughter quite often now. I am grateful I have a little sister 12 years younger than me to help fill the gap. I hope you have a fantastic time and lose yourself in the accomplishment and pride of raising your daughter. The day of the dance has arrived! My house is presentable, my daughter has a gorgeous dress, I had a mini break down last night but ok so far today …
I am about to take her to lunch, go to Target for last minute snacks and forget SA exists … I am her mother and that is more important than being the wife of an SA. Send good energy my way… Love you all:)
