Teri, that was NOT posted in answer to you!!! I was writing it while you were posting. 🙂 What does my gut tell me about Teri? That you are a strong, capable woman and a fiercely protective mother and someone I like and admire very, very much.

You are not talking behind her back. You are sorting through your own thoughts and feelings and sharing them in order to learn from this experience.

Those postings were Deb’s and everyone commented as they felt they should.
But now, these conversations are ours and ours alone and really have nothing to do with her. They have to do with US and our learning processes.
Would everyone feel more comfortable if we started a new topic rather than using this one? ~ JoAnn
I agree JoAnn. I think this postmortem is very healthy for us and very helpful as well. I’m fine either way – continuing in this thread or jumping to a new one.

Thanks, Daisy. I hear constantly from STBX about me having a personality disorder. It makes me nervous any time that subject even comes up! 🙂 Thought I’d run it by your gut!
Thanks, too, JoAnn. It doesn’t bother me either way about the thread. It does help to process it all and honestly, to know what true codependency looks like so I examine my own actions to see where I can improve or why I am okay.
