Remember Karma?

Ya know the thing we always say will get them in the end. But we also say this for people who are mean or people who treat you bad.

Well i have a very good story to tell.

As you all know i took my new job. I work as an assessor; as such still have a hand in works of appraisal.

About 10 years ago i was hired as a secretary/office manager at an appraisal company. I worked there for about a year, and really liked the idea of appraising as a new career for me. I discussed this with the boss, he paid for the classes, which i busted my ass for with two kids as a single mom. When time came; i applied for my license. They let me do a few jobs, after hours on my own time. I assumed that one day they would hire someone esle to do my job, and i would become one of the staff residential appraisers. This was a family business, and one day one of the sons came in and said they had hired a friend of his, who just got licensed as the new residential appraiser. I was pissed to say the least.

I threw my work i did have on the bosses desk and gave my two week notice. They were pissed as i incovenianced them as their dad was to have back surgery in the next month…and they would not have time to hire someone else. It was so bad, i was crying that day. Theyw ere so mean; however i finished my two weeks out.

As part of my new job we contract out the big jobs…which are pfizer and electric boat. Every five years all property is revalued by the revaluation company, and big jobs are picked up by independent contractors. Lets just say the fees for these jobs are substantial. So anyway. Guess who is the apprasial company who does these two jobs…you guessed it my old company.

So anyway. We had a meeting last week and they had to be nice to me and kiss my ass. Because guess what…i have the power, i now can weigh in and decide who gets the contract next time!!

One of the sons even though i had hit my glass celing as the office manager. Well he can now kiss my ass. It felt great.

And yes things to come around. I just never thought i would be there to see them eat crow.
