Just want to say it is 2am on Christmas Eve and I am SO TIRED. The tree is twinkling, the stockings are full and the gifts are half wrapped. It is a white Xmas in Nova Scotia and all my sons will be home…one newly married! My Mom died unexpectedly a few weeks ago so it will be bitter sweet BUT I am warm, I will have turkey dinner with people who love me (albeit dysfunctionally ), I have been to Church to remind myself what the story is all about AND I am sitting here thinking of ALL of you and the journey we have been on through 2011….and I am grateful for what I have here and to be able to send each and every one of you Xmas Blessings. I am privileged(sp) to have all of you in my life. What an extraordinary, opinionated, compassionate, intuitive, loving and far flung group we are?? 🙂 MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Karen xx

December 25, 2011 at 12:06 pm #25080jos1972ParticipantGood morning beautiful sisters… We are blessed to have each other and need to remember that precious things are polished and their beauty is revealed through polishing and tempering in furnaces… We have all been through fires of testing times and plunged into icy cold waters… We have to hold onto the fact that we will come out of this, and we will learn and grow.
It has to get better. It really does. Karen, wishing you and all our sisters grace and peace this Christmas.
Love Jo

Merry Christmas everyone!
And Karen ~ I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. A lot of us are at that “age” that if we still have them, they become, yet another difficult issue. Perhaps another topic could be “elderly parents.”
Oye.
I let my husband spend the night in the basement. It only made sense since the boys are home and he was going to be coming back out anyway. He’s been busy cleaning stuff out. 😀
Love and warmth to all,
Laurel

Thank you for the kind note. I could almost smell the turkey, and see the snow. I hope it was a special holiday for all. I’m sure you missed your mother, and shared many memories of Christmases with her. And a newly married son!! How sweet to share that time with them as a couple. That must have been encouraging and fun.
Blessings to you!
