    Help!!!!!
If anyone has a side by side refrig they love and have been happy with what brand is it? Reliable and quiet are important to me. If you know the model that would be super. I’m looking at refrigs and there’s so many I’m dizzy. Thanks all!

Also LCD or LED TV? Sony or Samsung?

Also, I just want top loading washer and dryer. What brand are you happy with?

Thanks so much….this is driving me nuts…more nuts, nap

Hi Nap, We acquired a side by side frig when we moved into this house and I don’t like it. If I were getting a new one I would get the one with the freezer on the bottom. Just remember to measure your opening where the frig goes because they vary in size and you don’t want to have to modify the opening because the frig is too tal lor too wide .

We have a Samsung LCD TV and had no problems with it. Don’t know much about LED, guess you’ll have to ask a salesperson what the difference is.

I also like a top loading washer. I’ve always had good luck with Kenmore products for the W/D and Frig. I believe kenmore makes a new top loading washer that is as efficient as the front loaders.

It is mind boggling, isn’t it? There’s way too many choices out there.

Good Luck, wish I could help you!

    Nap,

Samsung has a top frig with french doors, bottom freezer. If you do not want to take up the space with a outside water dispenser, they have one that has the water tucked away just inside the door. Also when you get a french door model you want to look at the mechanism where it shuts in the middle. Some just have rubber seals, they will eventually wear out. See mechanism on Samsung. Also the bottom freezer, what I liked is when you pulled out the freezer door at some point it catches the top shelf and pulls it out too. If you don’t want what is up there, you just push it back in. But, if you do, you don’t have to lean over the opened bottom to try to reach that shelf.

I hated my side-by-sides, hard to fit certain items in it. In freezer can not fit many of the frozen pizza’s. In the frig part the things in the bottom drawers tend to be left there. Really when you think about it, you want the things that you use most of the time, up on shelves you where you can see them. I do not use my freezer things on a daily basis.

Re: TV – LED run much cooler, heat is a big factor in longevity for TV’s.

I have a LG front loader, and have been happy with it. (4 yrs). Make sure you buy the stands so everything will be easy to access and you are not bending and reaching for things. New technology in top loaders sound interesting, no fins to tear up your clothes.

    Hi NAP,
I have the fridge with the top refrigerator and bottom freezer i love it. Had it for 6 years no problems. Its an amana which is made by maytag, just at a cheaper price.

I love kenmore appliances as well as far as washers and dryers. We have a kenmore washer and had a kenmore dishwasher in the past that worked forever. Whirlpool and kenmore make the best dishwashers. I am very happy with our kenmore washer.

Vizio is one of the top makers of high def tv’s right now as well. Might want to check the price, i though they might be a little cheaper than sony. But sony has alwasy been a staple quality brand in tv’s and electronics. I would get whichever is more standard right now, and cheaper. But that is just me. I would google the difference between LED and LCD; see if the difference is important; there maybe a huge price difference. You can always ask the sale man, and call and ask the salesman whats the difference.

Good luck NAP! Consumer reports also rates appliances and brands.

I hate my front loading washing machine! I am so glad to hear you want a top-loading one! It is a nightmare. I like my traditional frig/freezer also, not the side by side.
    Happy shopping NAP. B. Trayed
