Hi ladies
My sah has been a compulsive mb since middle school and on the chat lines for years. Since I confronted him in July there have been no calls to chat lines on his cell bill. Forgive me if I don’t trust that he has gone cold turkey after 25+ years.
Anywho, lots of charges now showing up as wap.cingular. Anyone know what this is?Good question Annabegins! I’d like to know too. When I first discovered my SAH’s habits, etc. He had a lot of wap.cingular’s on the cell records for months and months. I check his usuage frequently and I haven’t seen it since all of this started. I tried to research it online, but all of that stuff is over my head girl! I hope someone can clarify for us.

I Googled wap.cingular and this is one of the things I found:Wireless Application Protocol. It is basically the technology involved when it comes to accessing the Internet from your phone.

If you have internet on that phone, those charges would be for every time the internet is accessed. Just remember, many apps access the internet.
Also, if you have texting on that phone the wap.cingular shows a charge whenever a photo is sent or received.
It could also mean you are being charged whenever your e-mail is accessed if you have that service on your phone.
The best thing to do is to either go to your service provider and have them look up the charges or call them, but calling will sometimes get you a very stupid customer service person.
I hope this all turns out to be nothing.
