Not a huge fan of the dixie chicks but caught one of their songs today that really hit home……listen to “Not ready to make nice”….it’s almost inspiring I thought. Speaks my feelings in a nutshell!! And thats saying alot living in crazy town the last 5 years and all
i know really, how rediculous is this of them asking this of us…so right…i’m not ready to make nice. But for me in therapy wiht my h, all they wanted to do was for me to make nice and get over it. No…i’m was not then ready make nice…and i guess now i may never will be. With exsah anyway…

flora, you ain’t lying. I remember last year when we separated the therapist seemed eager for h to get home. I think bc he genuinely was seeking help immediately after kicking him out. Guess what? That ain’t happening this time and I may even say I’m not ready to make nice when it comes up!! All I know is that I feel he hasn’t really sufferered any consequences to all of this except having to tell his parents last Sat which was crushing at best for him to do and for them to hear. I’m riding this out as long as I need to in order to decide what I want to do, not what he or the therapist wants me to do.

Ladies we could so out do those guys with a rap song. They sing of pain and betrayal………they got nothing compared to us!
Just listen to words if you can…….. I love how it starts….. Forgive? Sounds good. Forget? I’m not sure I could. They say time heals everything but I’m still waiting. I’m through with doubt, there’s nothing left for me to figure out……

this is really sad/funny. when my h is being a jerk, my 16 year old starts playing this on the piano.
he ruined so many people… we fought for 4 hours today. he still insists he never hurt me. how can he even think that. warped.
they will never understand they have hurt us until they decide to own their addiction and I mean truly own it and this is done by their actions which will not require words.

Crying help to purify the soulIncidently, I have that Dixie Chicks CD. I love EVERY song on there!! It’s really good and I would highly recommend it! I have a hard time relating that song to SA, because I know what it was really written about. However, I have plenty of other SA songs to choose from, when I’m in the mood!!
sl – funny side note. we have a hokey 4th of july parade every year on the island and vote for the floats. One year someones float was the chixie dicks and it was 3 old guys wearing long blonde wigs and dresses. It was so funny. – so if you need a float idea this year….
