I have been married to a sex addict for 27 years. during this time my 30 year old son was completely groomed by my husband through violence and abuse. I mean at one stage he kicked my son between the legs, my son was aged 12 then. At that time I was so webbed in with the cycle of abuse that my focus always went back to my husband and I expended so much years and energy trying to figure him out. Amongst having multiple affairs he also forced this son to smoke at the age of 5 and laughed at him when he coughed. Then my husband also groomed me, made me up against my family members. This still has evidence and scars today. Then our son of 6 years old died in a tragic accident we were all involved in and his dad died too in that accident.
Then came my two other sons who were born after I had been sterilised and had a reversal. They are now 13 and 16. What does one tell them? In my attempt to get out of the marriage I created a crisis?
He would come home drunk and I would not just leave it at that. It took careful planning and strategising on my part.
