Department stores will always say a perfume has been “discontinued” if THEY are no longer carrying it….but then, you can usually find it online or at outlet mall perfume shops, etc!

I looked for Myrtle in Singapore. I just wanted to smell it. I am sort of scent sensative so I usually stick to lotions, powders ect. Jo Malone(woman) is another perfume maker I learned about from my new daughter in law. She happens to have a store in the London airport and in the Bangkok airport. I think she makes her stuff organically or naturally. I bought 2 little colonges (sp) on my way out. Bluebell and Nectarine and something else. The bluebell smells just like a blue bell flower. She has lovely florals(they smell exactly like the flowers) and citrus and blends. Nice stuff( several are light which I like) and also carries the lotions, candles, bath stuff ect. I am out of the femininity loop lately. Perhaps she is old news. I would like to smell this dead sexy but I have a feeling it would be too strong for me. Karen x

I do like the florals and I like fruit as well. I wore chanel 5 for years when I was young.I had a BF who’s Mom used to get all kinds of free samples of all the really expensive perfumes in the world. I remember when I was 18 the perfume “JOY” was the big thing. It was too strong for me but I wore some gavinchey. Back then I think most of the big perfumes were French. Anyway I ahve bought 2 different Kenzo scents and they are nice florals. I do most of my shopping in airports .:) I will smell chanel madmoiselle when I get a chance. I must say I likethis Jo Malone (think she MIGHT be British) because she scents are natural and I like that too.

Im always trying new perfumes–last one is Vera Wangs Love Struck. The bottle is beautiful and I liked the smell in the store, but the jury is still out as to whether it is a keeper or not.
Being that I am always trying new perfumes, I inevitably buy ones that dont suit me. Currently I have full bottles of Incanto Heaven, Coach Signature, Red Delicious by DKNY and Love Rocks (Victorias Secret). If anyone wants to try any of these and is comfortable to message me your mailing address Id be happy to send them to you. I end up throwing them away sometimes, which feels horrible, but I dont think its the sort of thing you give to good will.

For serious perfume I’m a Chanel Cristalle fan. But in my work most of the places I go are scent free zones. It’s also a big no no in choirs.
But I LOVE perfume. I wore Lauren for years. Then Dior “J’adore” — which the sales clerk told me was a scent you could wear everywhere including church. Little did she know!

Mostly I just spray La Source from Crabtree & Evelyn which just smells clean and fresh and doesn’t seem to upset anyone.

I ordered a sample of the Dead Sexy. And it is awesome! A little bit goes a long way and for as little as I wear perfumee… that sample size may last awhile.

I’m not a girly girl either Katt. I’m a ponytail and comfy clothes kind of gal. My favorite store is Home Depot. And half of my clothes are American Eagle. NOT a femine brand. lol

When the SA thing first came out I started straightening my hair, dressing nicer and wearing makeup daily. That lasted only a few months. Then more SA crap came out and I said, screw this. I sleep in underwear and a t-shirt. I went out and bought flanel PJ’s and started wearing my bra underneath even to sleep.

OH…so someone else does know Jo Malone? 🙂 Thanks lylo…now I feel all in the know. 😉 God…its been years since I thought about perfume or any of those girly things so I MADE myself buy myself 2 of her scents in the Bangkok airport as a Xmas present to me. 🙂 Nap or someone was wondering what stores carry her but I don’t know because I have only seen her stuff in airports and I think she may be British. Where did u get her stuff lylo?
