I will be testing new colors and styles for this part of the website today. Everything else should stay the same as I am only working on styles and colors.
Soon (maybe today) the front home page will change to a different format. I’m still working on having it redirect to the new front page, but that could be tricky.

Ok JoAnn, reverse the blue and black on the forum list. It’s really hard on the eye just my opinion hope I didn’t hurt you feelings and this font is too small.
The darker blue is better but now the forum topics are all smashed together and I like the old font better than this one IMO
Be patient, each change takes time for me to evaluate.
But, definitely keep those comments coming and I’ll try to implement them as I go.
help im lost i cant figure out how to find the topic where we would post back . shit where it would open to before im such a computer idiot

I’m not sure what you mean. Do you want to start a new topic? Or just find a list of topics?
The list of forum topics is found in the very top right menu–just click ‘forums’ and that will get ya there.

I put a ‘forums’ tab in the main menu so everyone can find it, as I know that’s where most of you live.
Okay, I’ve done the basics, now it’s just a little tweaking here and there. Just remember, the basic style and foundation cannot be changed, but stuff like colors and font styles and colors can.
So, let’s here your suggestions. Type style? Type size or color? Sidebars?

ok thanks joann i was clicking on the very top forums and all i would get is the topics i started. sorry it takes me awhile sometimes
Yep, that slipped by me too. So, if you want to see your own forum topics that you have created, click the smaller, top menu.
But, if you want to see the entire thousand plus (we are a chatty bunch, aren’t we?) you can just click the larger, main menu tab.
Now, let’s not forget to go to the big, main page, which also has a link to your login member page.
This new front page will have a lot of new stuff that most of you might enjoy. You can just bookmark it as your main ‘go to’ page and just click the member login menu tab when you are ready to sign in.

Yes, I posted a topic on the chat box, it’s a problem with the company that I buy the service from. They are having problems.
So, it might be a while until they fix it or I find a better company.

The colors are pretty and I’m starting to get the hang and I have a request.
When I read the old SOS site, rather than click on each forum topic and have to click through the pages to see where I left off, I always read the current ACTIVITY link that was at the bottom of the old site page. There, I read the posts as they came in and could keep up without having to leave that page unless the post was long. I hope you can add that page back for me.
There was an anomally on that old page as well. When Sharron posted a long post, there was a little note to click that said – read more – and I could click that box and read the long post without leaving the activity page. This only happened on Sharrons posts though and I loved that because I could read it all without going to the forum page.
Hope this was clear.

Hi Deborah,
That Activity link is now at the top of the page right next to where it says ‘welcome back xxx’
You can also access your Activity by going to the narrow black bar at the top, hover over ‘My Account’ and you will see a drop down menu. You can chose ‘Activity’ then ‘Personal’ and it should take you right there.
If I have misunderstood what you meant just explain again.

We’re not talking about the same page. I did see the activity link next to the welcome back thing but all those links in that section took me to my account and showed only my activity.
There was an activity link at the BOTTOM of the old pages that showed EVERYONE’S post as they came in, NO MATTER WHAT FORUM THEY WERE POSTING TO.

I loved that feature, it saved so much time and you didn’t miss any posts.
Otherwise on the forums page, to follow multiple topics, like we do, you have to keep track of how many posts are on each topic and/or who the last poster was.
I sooooo hope you know what I’m talking about? Anyone get it??
