ParticipantKatt, I am having a particularly bleak day. Thanks for giving me a place to vent! below my emailed comment to hardees!
You add for the jalapeno southwest burger makes me sick. Maybe you should get some women on your marketing team instead of a bunch of pervs who sit around watching porn, probably while you are paying them to work. You might want to put a filter on their computers and see where you marketing employee dollars are really going. Was she going to stick the burger up her vagina?? Or is one of your add writers screwing the burger in his office?? Both appear to be possibilities that you are willing to imply to the general public. Porn addicts love to be outrageous and bring everyone down to their level.
I would fire everyone involved in this campaign.
Wow you would think someone in your organization would have a shred of decency and would have stopped this from ever happening.
Interesting demographic you are appealing to here. Anyone who buys your food because of this add is probably a sex weirdo who cant get it anywhere else. Does your marketing team hire work release sex offenders?
I cannot believe how outrageously offensive this is. It’s not even a little funny. Just gross and distasteful.

ParticipantAbsolutely right on Katt, and good letter Heidi! I just sent one off too, I was furious. Husband just happened to walk over to my computer and saw the first frame of the video (I hadn’t run it yet) and he asked me ‘what the hell I was watching’. He thought it might be some porn. Now what does that say about the ad!

ParticipantThat is so over the top. The NFL called it triple X and banned it from the supoerbowl. You KNOW you went too far when the NFL even thinks you did. Hardee’s/Carl’s JR has a few ommercials like this.
Hamburgers are apparently sexy…

ParticipantYuck!
I have to say, I’m soooo lucky that my triggers are 70 year old women with grey hair – so this sort of thing doesn’t trigger me. The only bad thing is you’d be surprised how many grey haired women there are out there!

MemberUgh; I’m sending an email. Forget triggers…is this what I need my 15 and 18 year old to see? I know it’s everywhere, but maybe that will be my new cause–speak up about it as much as possible.

MemberIt’s Carl’s Jr. here on the West coast and I couldn’t believe it when I first saw it. My SA saw it at the same time and he was disgusted, shaking his head saying “sex sells”.
Really? Sex sells a stinkin’ hamburger? Holy crap. What a bunch of bullshit.
Can’t even watch TV anymore without disturbing sites and sounds.

ParticipantClaire, I am the same way. I screen movies for my own personal viewing as if I was choosing for a ten year old. I prefer watching PG with my kids. We just watched Puss in Boots… better than any rated R movie IMO. And I DVR everything so I can fast forward through commercials.
One of my current least favorite ones is for Pinacle whipped vodka. And I swear to god it just came on as I typed that. That’s what happens when I put the remote down to type. I get stuck with a commercial.
There is another one that has a naked woman wearing nothing but a pythoin. I have no clue what they are selling. They give a name of a product but I have no clue what the product is. A type of juice? Or a body lotion? NO CLUE. The commercial doesn’t say.

ParticipantOh… I mentioned this commercial breifly and vaguely to my H. He said, “what fast food chain is this?” I asked, “why? So you can look it up on youtube?’
